BEAR

Tsaravet Asen Namrac, aka Bear for obvious reasons! He is our first and largest Karakachan (125 pounds) and is almost retired now at 11 years of age. He sired one litter at Kid Hollow Farm from which many great dogs have come.
The American Karakachan Dog Association registers and promotes this wonderful breed.

We work with a local breeder, Pat Harder, at Kid Hollow Farm.

She is also on the board of the AKDA.

Karakachans are working dogs who do best outdoors with a job guarding livestock or poultry. They are not pets in the traditional sense although they are usually very good with people - which is what we want because of our many farm visitors.

Breeding dogs correctly is not an easy task, nor one to choose to make money. If you do it following best practices, it is hard to recoup expenses and all your time invested for early socialization and training.
